Cotillion – A Formal Dinner and Dance, the cotillion is a social education program that uses dance as a tool to teach social and character skills not normally covered in school. Through our classes students male and female, learn to be comfortable with themselves and others, communicate better and develop respect and self-confidence.
Donuts with Dads – This program provides an opportunity in the school setting for positive interaction between the student and the father or positive male figure in their life.
8th Grade Graduation – The RFO is a partner in 8th Grade graduation ceremony that recognizes the accomplishments and transition of our Middle school students into High School.
Erie Rise Family Fun Day – The RFO is a partner with the school in the planning and coordination of the Erie Rise Family Fun Day. This event features music, fun activities, face painting, school tours for prospective families, games, refreshments and more. This family oriented event attracts our students and their families in addition to members in the surrounding neighborhood.
Guest Speaker Series – The RFO has partnered with the Facilitator of Special Program and our Security Department to bring speakers in to speak with our students about healthy choices, career, educational, sports, politics, scouting etc. Past Speakers include College teachers and Administrators; Political Officials and candidates for Public Office; Bank Officials; Police Officers; Fire Fighters; Representatives from the NPHC and others.
IBL Basketball League – The RFO is a partner with Erie Rise in supporting the Erie Rise Basketball Team that is a member of the Independent Basketball League, a developmental league for Students in Grades 6-8.
Kindergarten Graduation – The RFO is a partner in supporting the Kindergarten Graduation ceremony that recognizes the accomplishments and transition of our Kindergarten students to 1st Grade.
Muffins with Moms – This program provides an opportunity in the school setting for positive interaction between the student and the Mother or a positive female figure in their life.
Rise Talent Showcase – This talent showcase provides an opportunity for Erie Rise Students to showcase their various talents and artistic gifts. Student presentations include vocal, dance, musical, art, gymnastics, martial arts and poetry.
WQLN Turned on to Literacy Program – In partnership with the Title I office is offered to families with students in grades K-2. The program shows parents how to combine PBS Kids programming, children’s literature and hands on activities to help their child develop strong literacy skills, increasing their chance for academic success.
